So the first week of class is over. First impression = I'm screwed! But as the week progressed I definately think I can handle it. I just got overwhelmed by reading at first but it's gonna slow down a bit (I think!) Hung out @ Gardens twice so far which has been cool. Seeing everyone get drunk is... well... hilarious!!! I can't wait till January so I can 'legally' join in. Still working 10 hrs a week for Alcas which is great. I like the short days (3 hrs 2 days a week and 4 on saturday)... So thats all well.
I think I'm getting closer to being able to run again. It's been 2 weeks and I can bike just fine without pain and walking isn't bothering me anymore which is awesome. I will still wait another week or so probably before I try to run though... want to make sure I am ready so I don't make it worse (again!). I have been biking and lifting though so I'm happy to be doing that. I have to really start working out though so I can look good in a dress on the 24th - have a wedding to go to! :)
Umm... lets see...guys... Dave's comment sums up the guy situation - "you have to pick one!" Haha... but thats no fun! ;) Nothing wrong with liking a few guys... right? And if something works out with any of them that will be great! Otherwise, I'll just have myself a good time flirting and such (as always!)
Well, I think that sums up the first week of school. Hope everyone is having a great time at school and I'll try to make some visits this semester to see you guys (hopefully the gas prices will start to go down so a trip or 2 won't break me! lol) Ok, night! |

Well.... the 5th Harry Potter book is read. Just finished it tonight. And I can't believe it - this is the 2nd book in a row that made me cry in the end. I can't believe I get so emotional over a book!! And from what I hear the 6th book is incredibly sad at the end, so I'm a little afraid to start that one now. I'm going crazy out of curiousity but I don't know if I'm up for more crying over a book. Oh well, I still have to get a copy first so I have some time yet...
Ya know, that crying over nothing thing, thats something I do. Well, ok, not over 'nothing'... I mean I won't cry that randomly, but I can just hear a touching story or watch something emotional or even something so happy that it seems emotional on tv or in a movie and start crying. That used to be something I didn't like about myself. But my mom told me tonight that my grandfather was very emotional like that. Hearing that made me feel happier about it. I now know that I have something in common with him. And of course, this making me happy and emotional, I cried even more over this, but it was worth it. I already knew I had my grandmother's eyes, but now I can say I have my grandfather's emotions.... and it just feels so good. Not having the chance to ever meet them, I finally have a connection to them.
Ok, well enough of that because ITS THE WEEKEND!!!
And to update... work is good. Summer has been great (except for the sunburn - ouch!). And back to Bona's soon. :) I already had to say goodbye to Mike, tho. It went too fast but there's always the weekend after your birthday to continue the good times! I miss ya already! And to everyone else who will be leaving to go back, I'll miss ya too. Have a good one! :) Night! |

So this past weekend was my NYC trip... which was awesome!! I mean 2 Yankees games - ya can't go wrong... and winning both - even better!! Saturday was an early morning - on the bus at 6 am. We got to NYC then went to the first game (we played LAA). We got behind 7-3 but made a cmeback to win it! The whole game (we sat on 3rd base side) we were in the sun and damn was it hot! I have awful tan lines from the t-shirt I was wearing. Then after the game we got dinner then walked around Times Square. I love just walking down the streets of NY... so many people and so many things to see. Did a lil shopping then crashed for the night. Sunday we went to the second game. Again we got behind by 4 runs (6-2) but came back in the 11th to win it! Then it was the long trip back. Yesterday I tried to rest as much as possible then back to work today. Mike and I went for a walk tonight in Allegany. About 1/2 way it started to lightening - we thought it was heat but boy were we wrong! On the way back to the car it started to rain - still not bad, kinda felt nice. But then it started pouring and lightening quite bad! I could barely see driving home it came down so hard. But the walk was worth it! And tonight I managed to get myself locked in my kitchen... what an experience that was! Me and my 2 cats... Finally my mom heard me and came downstairs to let me out... That was quite interesting. The things that happen to me... Well I better get sleep. Early morning. Night all! |

Wow... this summer is passing by way too fast! It's already July... and there is so much I have yet to do this summer - I just know I won't get it all done!
Well, Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you had a good one. I went to Sarah's this afternoon, then went to my cousin's for a cookout, then met back up with friends for the fireworks. It was a fun day. Fireworks were really nice, too. But honestly I just felt so lonely... I was with a bunch of friends and all but still felt lonely... basically because one of my favorite things is being with a guy during the fireworks - I just like it... And seeing that I am spending yet another summer single it gets pretty lonely around this time of year. Although the majority of the time I love being 'one of the guys' sometimes I wish people would see me as a girl... well certain guys in particular. Although the guys would have been home tonight and not here, I still think at least having someone to think about would make me a little less lonely. Knowing that someone is there for me and that I mean something to someone... but oh well.
Summer has been pretty nice, though. Can't complain. We have had beautiful weather - much better than last summer!! And unfortunately I have work in the morning so I better get some sleep. Lots of projects to work on in the morning. Well, night all!!! |

Well, seeing that Steph and Joel both updated today, I feel I should update also. God, I'm such a follower! But it's a crappy day and I really didn't have anything better to do anyway!
Well, since my last entry - I got an internship at Alcas for the summer so that's what I've been up to. It's in the Web Group and I am doing programming for their site. They use Java which is awesome, and I am getting some JSP and HTML experience which is awesome. Eventually they want to teach me Strutz and some others, but that's all down the road. It's just so weird for me cuz I actually have to dress up and all - I've never had a job where I had to dress up (I feel so... not old... but not young anymore.) But I like it a lot so far. (Even though my boss is a Red Sox fan... ahh!)
Thursday I just finished Summer classes. I took Micro economics and Financial accounting - fun stuff. They went really well though. I don't think the business thing will be that bad. Hopefully I will keep that opinion next semester seeing that 3 out of 5 classes are business.
This summer has been a lot of fun so far. Mike and I have been running which has been great! We only go 1 1/2 miles or so but it's good to start with - I'm not quite to the point of going on long runs yet. Today after running we just talked for the longest time - even when it was raining we stood there talking. It was really nice - but that's what best friends are for! And everyone else has been trying to get together as much as possible but work schedules make it so hard! We manage, tho. Jenga has been a pretty good thing to do this summer, and Nick, Sarah and I experienced true Hinsdale-ism the other night on our mini road trip into See Valley!! I even won a game of Poker for the first time this summer - which was exciting. So yeah, that's been my life! Missing Bona people a bit but so happy to have the hometown guys (and gals) back! Ok, well I'll go find something to occupy my time!

So... the big news around here is that Bona's finally got FaceBook! Which is definately cool. However, timing could have been a bit better - finals time is not the best time to be playing around with this stuff. Yet, of course, like everyone else, I do find myself on there! Eh, good way to procrastinate. Speaking of finals, I have taken Religious Texts and Social World. It was so nice to get those over with.... damn Clares! They weren't too bad tho. Now I have 3 on Monday (Algorithms, Networks, & Telecommunications) then I am done. That will be a nice feeling. Studying for 3 in one day sucks tho!
Well, it wouldn't be me without some confusing feelings in my life, right?!?! Well I guess I have finally realized that the guy I liked earlier this semester - nothing there. And I'm cool with that. He's a great guy and a good friend and thats enough. But now I am having feelings for another guy... again. I don't know what exactly it is about him but he can do the simplest thing and I fall for him all over again... even after I thought I was completely and totally over him. All it takes is a smile and I can be right back where I started. Wow, how bad is that... I need to get out and meet some guys!
So I went shopping in Jamestown with my mom today to get away from studying for a bit and I finally broke down and bought a pair of capris... even tho I was so against wearing them. What is happening to me??? I'm becoming such... a girl! lol. It's crazy! Looks like my tomboy days are fading... but they aren't disappearing completely - I gotta hold on to them at least a little, especially when it comes to sports and such :) I also got a pair of gray dress pants... may be coming in handy if things work out this summer - I'll keep ya posted!
And tonight Sarah sent me a pic that she found on Dave's comp... it's a pic of Dave and I from his b-day back in 9th grade! That brought back so many memories and was just so cute... that made me smile! And it was a much needed smile after spending a few hours studying tonight! So thanks Sarah (and thanks Dave for keeping that pic!), you brightened my day a lot!

Spring weekend was this past weekend. I had to work a game booth for the BIS club on Friday, but it didn't work out too well... no one bought tickets to play the games. Watched part of Andy's softball game - he had a nice hit! Saw Travis and hung out with him after I was done working. We played human fuseball which was crazy yet a lot of fun! Then went back to Travis' room with a bunch of others and chilled. Visited Seth before going home and I didn't think Justin would let me leave - haha. But when I got home I turned on Silence of the Lambs on TV but then, seeing as I was alone for the night, decided that wasn't the best thing to watch. So I put in Return to Me and relaxed.
Saturday it rained - blah. But I hung out again with Travis and the others. Went to see Dog Stories that night - awesome job Gabe! Overall it was a good Spring Weekend.
Today was the last day of class of sophomore year! I am so happy that it is almost over. Just have to get through 5 finals. They aren't gonna be easy tho. But after Monday I am free for the summer!
And my exciting news is I am getting a kitten!! Its gray and white and so cute. Its only 3 weeks old now so it'll be a few weeks till we get him but I can't wait. I just have to think of a name. I want something cute but haven't come up with one yet. Poor Pooky won't be thrilled about this but hopefully he'll get along with the newcomer.
So I really should be studying right now. So night! |

I just wanted to say thanks to those who replied to last night's post... I appreciate it.
I ended up taking it out because I shouldn't be like that and I shouldn't post things like that. It was a bad night, I'm sure you all have had nights like that!! lol. But things will work out in the end. I am the type that believes that there is a reason for everything. That means there is a reason I am at Bona's. It may not be evident right now but someday it will be clear! So hey, its all good right! Patience is the key ;)
I just gotta start looking for the bright side of things! :) |

Well I got the news today when Mike called - Castle Theater closed :(
And I know that the place was falling apart, the floors were always sticky, and there were cobwebs hanging down... but it was the Castle. There are just so many memories from going there as a kid to $2.50 night in high school. Mike, BJ and I will especially miss it. Wow do things change!
So after thinking about the memories, I decided to break out the photo album. Talk about memories! Those pics go from 8th grade to present so thats a lot of time to cover. I miss it!
Things I really miss:
